Matthews Pastor

CEO/Manager

Matthews was born and raised in Lima, Peru, then moved to the United States to pursue higher education in Business Administration & Aviation. Matthews is a licensed Private Pilot who currently works in Sales and Business development in the private aviation sector. He brings more than 10 years of experience in customer service and building relationships with suppliers and customers in the US, Mexico and Brazil. He was inspired by his parents to explore and develop a love for the art and science of coffee. He is very honored and humbled to be leading this family business.

Victor Pastor

Operations Lead

Victor also grew up in Lima Peru where he studied Chemical Engineering in the National University of Callao. He later became a Technical Adviser in International commercialization of coffee. He continued his work experience with one of the largest coffee corporations in Peru: CAFÉ PERU. Victor earned a Certificate in Agricultural Development in the Rural Sector, which took place in Haifa, Israel. Understanding the need for special instruments and tools in coffee laboratories, he started a business manufacturing Coffee Trayers and sifters, and other tools for the coffee industry. He is excited to bring his experience and knowledge to Miski Coffee, leading the operation of our roasting process and quality control

Myriam Valer

Coffee Consultant

Myriam Valer is a Chemical Engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the Agroindustrial sector. Myriam worked in the Agricultural division of SGS del Perú SAC (Company specialized in certifications) and as an external consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) on coffee productivity and quality projects. She has developed Quality Control training courses for farmers, technical and professional personnel. She has worked on quality control projects with local farmers from harvest to export. Myriam is also a “coffee cupper” not only in Peru, but also recognized internationally. She has participated in the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America) in the USA for several years in coffee competitions of excellence as a Consultant representative of various coffee organizations.
